Program Description:
The program will allow students to gain the theoretical knowledge and communication skills linked to working in context of a career in nutritional consultancy, aligned with a Pediatrics / Early Childhood Development focus.
There is no other time in life when the provision of adequate and balanced nutrition is of greater importance than during infancy and early childhood.
Nutrition consultants support the delivery of comprehensive, high quality nutrition programs to groups (which may be businesses, families, community groups and other organizations) or individuals. They also provide guidance, training and technical assistance. Their services may be contracted by schools, businesses (for employees wellness programs), food manufacturers, families and other clients.
Nutritional consultants with a specialty in pediatrics and early childhood development may offer related services to families.

TESOL

Program Description:
This 120 hours TESOL Program will be designed for those who wish to pursue a career in English as a Second Language teaching. The goal of the TESOL Certification program is to recruit passionate individuals who have a commitment to the English Language Training, both here and abroad. This course is designed for individuals who are either currently teaching ELL (English Language Learners) or for those wish to enter the English language teaching field. It gives students the necessary skills in classroom management, lesson planning and a variety of teaching methods.
Students are prepared for teaching Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Grammar and Presentation skills. Students also participate in seminars to discuss topics such as classroom management, matching learning outcomes to activities, conducting assessments and developing a teaching style of their own. Students will leave the program with a portfolio of lesson plans and activities they have organized.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program are prepared for various teaching roles, which are classified under NOC 4021: College and Other Vocational Instructors. Potential career paths include:

TESL Canada certification allows graduates who also hold a degree to teach ESL in Canada and abroad. The TESOL program offered by Canada Royal Northville College is not a TESL Canada Recognized Teacher Training Program. This means that upon graduation, students applying for TESL Canada certification must apply and be assessed through a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process.

CRNC Refund Policy
If a student decides to withdraw from a program, he/she must provide a dated, written, notice of withdrawal to Canada Royal Northville College. Refunds are calculated according to CRNC’s Tuition Refund Policy and the date on which the written notice of withdrawal is received will be used to determine any refund owing.
1. Before the Program Start Date:
• If the institution receives a notice of withdrawal no later than seven days after the student signs the enrollment contract and before the program start date:
• The student is entitled to a 100% refund of tuition and all related fees, except for the application fee. Related fees include administrative fees, application fees, assessment fees, and fees for textbooks or course materials.
• If the institution receives a notice of withdrawal at least 30 days before the later of:
• The program start date in the most recent Letter of Acceptance (for international students), or
• The program start date in the enrollment contract:
• The institution may retain up to 10% of the tuition, to a maximum of $1000.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if these were not provided to the student.
2. Less Than 30 Days Before the Program Start Date:
• If the student withdraws more than seven days after signing the enrollment contract but less than 30 days before the program start date (in the Letter of Acceptance or enrollment contract):
• The institution may retain up to 20% of the tuition, to a maximum of $1300.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided to the student.
3. After the Program Start Date (Applies to All Students Except Those in Distance Education Programs):
• If the institution receives a notice of withdrawal or provides a notice of dismissal after the program starts and up to 10% of the instruction hours have been provided:
• The institution may retain up to 30% of the tuition.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided.
• If the withdrawal or dismissal happens after more than 10% but before 30% of the instruction hours have been provided:
• The institution may retain up to 50% of the tuition.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided.
4. No-Show (Applies to All Students Except Distance Education Students):
• If the student does not attend the first 30% of the program:
• The institution may retain up to 50% of the tuition.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided.
5. Refusal of Study Permit (International Students Requiring Study Permits):
• If the institution receives a notice of refusal before 30% of the instruction hours have been provided, based on the later of:
• The program start date in the most recent Letter of Acceptance or
• The program start date in the enrollment contract:
• The institution must refund 100% of tuition and related fees, except for the application fee.
6. Distance Education Programs:
• If the student withdraws or is dismissed after the program starts and they have completed up to 30% of the program:
• The institution may retain up to 30% of the tuition.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided.
• If the student has completed more than 30% but less than 50% of the program (based on evaluation provided to the student):
• The institution may retain up to 50% of the tuition.
• The institution must refund fees paid for course materials if not provided.
7. Admission Without Meeting Requirements:
• If a student enrolls without meeting admission requirements and has not misrepresented their knowledge or skills, and the registrar orders a refund:
• The institution must refund 100% of the tuition and all related fees, including application fees.
8. Work Experience Not Provided:
• If the institution fails to provide the work experience within 30 days of the contract end date (unless prevented by circumstances beyond its control):
• The institution must refund 100% of the tuition and related fees, except for the application fee.
9. Timing of Refund:
• The institution must pay the refund within 30 days after receiving:
• A notice of withdrawal,
• A notice of dismissal,
• A refusal of a study permit, or
• The date on which the first 30% of the instruction hours have been provided (for no-show students)
